Fractional platform engineering for Salesforce
AI writes the code in minutes. Releases still take weeks. The bottleneck isn't your builders. It's the path to production.
Halfpipe platform engineers design and build your team's golden path to production: the pipeline, quality gates, and feedback loops required to scale securely. Without the cost of a full-time hire.
01 / Sound familiar?
Ship without holding your breath
AI lets your builders produce more metadata faster than ever before. Every one of those changes still has to reach production — and more changes mean more risk.
But your release process, security reviews, and environment upkeep still fall to people who already have their hands full building for the business. The questions from leadership don’t stop: Why is it so expensive to ship? Are we using AI to accelerate? How do we measure success?
A Halfpipe platform engineer helps you evolve your path to production so your team can get back to building — shipping faster on a secure, stable platform, with the metrics to prove it.
Releases happen Friday night and everyone holds their breath.
You bought a DevOps tool. The team still deploys manually.
UAT passed. Production broke.
One person really knows how deployments work.
Your sandboxes haven’t matched production in months.
Every new hire slows the team down before they speed it up.
02 / Core pillars
Secure. Stable. Efficient. Iterative.
A golden path to production
We design and build a golden path to production — static analysis, metadata completeness, security scans, and governance checks on every change, whether it comes from a human or an agent — and feedback mechanisms for continual improvement.
But a pipeline is not “set it and forget it.” We stay on to provide support and guidance as your team, org, and the landscape evolve.

Security made actionable
We find the vulnerabilities in your org's configuration and code — over-permissioned profiles, exposed guest access, hardcoded secrets — and drive the fixes to closure.
A scanner can tell you what's wrong. We bring the plan and the focus to actually close the gaps.
Processes that scale
What worked for two builders breaks at ten. We put the structure in place that lets your team grow without stepping on each other: branching and environment strategy, code ownership, quality gates, and an onboarding path that gets new builders shipping in days instead of weeks.
Delivered and measured
We baseline your delivery using industry-standard DORA metrics — deployment frequency, lead time for changes, change failure rate, and time to restore — and monitor them across time. You'll know what improved with KPIs you can confidently take to management.
03 / Who we are
Multidisciplinary expertise
The path to production crosses more disciplines than any one role typically covers. Halfpipe platform engineers combine deep Salesforce experience — architecture, security, development, integration — with the source control, GitOps, and tooling expertise it takes to turn disparate processes into a coherent platform.
Our platform engineers bring an average of 10 years experience in Salesforce delivery and DevOps, backed by the following industry-recognized certifications.

FAQ
What exactly is a platform engineer?
A platform engineer helps Salesforce builders do their best work by codifying and automating the journey to production. Platform engineers extend DevOps principles to provide teams with a governed, efficient, stable, and iterative golden path (pipeline) to production. Importantly, platform engineers regard and build the delivery pipeline as a product itself rather than an amalgam of discrete processes.
In the Salesforce world this means, specifically, things like: analyzing and closing security gaps in config; crafting automated quality gates including static analysis and metadata completeness; implementing governance-as-code to ensure adherence to principles; and more.
What does a fractional engagement look like?
Halfpipe provides resourcing in increments of a half, quarter, or eighth of a full-time resource. This means we provide you Salesforce platform engineering expertise at 80, 40, or 20 hours per month, based on your needs.
We can effectively provide fractional expertise to Salesforce teams across industries and sizes because, although the specific tools used by each team may differ, the overarching frameworks, methodologies, and best practices are universal.
The first phase of an engagement is discovery, where we review your existing processes, pain points, goals, and toolsets to develop a plan for the subsequent phase, build. During this phase we wire together your toolchain into a comprehensive entity — a golden path — and train your team on usage. Finally, we enter the support and enhance phase, where we monitor key metrics and incorporate qualitative feedback to iteratively evolve your pipeline, supporting your team when issues arise.
What if I use my hours before the month is up?
Your monthly resource allocation is a guidepost, not a hard boundary, and we work with you to make sure your business needs continue to be met. We know that in the real world business priorities shift and critical initiatives can arise unexpectedly. Some months you will exceed your allocation and others you may draw below it.
In the event it becomes apparent your fractional allocation is incorrectly sized, in either direction, we will work with you to adjust it going forward.
Are you advisory only or do you also implement?
Both. A Halfpipe platform engineer designs and builds your golden path to production including pipeline config, customization, automation, security scanning, and more, as well as coaching your team on the practices that keep it all working.
Do we need to buy new tools?
No. While our platform engineers have preferred tools for each part of the stack we work with what teams have already committed to.
If it turns out something in your current stack is holding you back we can provide recommendations and help you evaluate alternatives that would be a better fit.
